Built for writers in two languages
schreibly exists because the writing tools we used either pretended only one language existed, or treated the second as an afterthought. We're building one place to write — and to write well — in English and German.
Our story
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. The early version of schreibly was a side project built while juggling English client emails in the morning and German project briefs in the afternoon. We kept hitting the same wall: the suggestions that worked in one language felt clumsy when applied to the other.
Today we're a small team focused on doing the bilingual case right —
not as a flag toggle but as a first-class workflow, with the same
quality of feedback in en-GB, en-US,
de-DE, de-AT and de-CH.
The roadmap is in the open: a fast checking gateway first, then the extension and desktop apps, then our own model for the variants we care about most.
